Dr. Sumith De Silva, Head of Marketing Communications at Airport and Aviation Services Sri Lanka, has been appointed to the Director Board of the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management (SLITHM), the government’s premier institute for tourism and hospitality education.

With a distinguished academic and professional background, Dr. De Silva holds a Ph.D. in Business Management and Marketing from the Management and Science University (MSU), Malaysia. He is a Practicing Marketer (SLIM), a Certified Professional Marketer (Asia) under the Asia Marketing Federation, and an MBA graduate specializing in marketing. Dr. De Silva is also a member of the Asia Pacific Institute of Event Management (APIEM).
