The event showcased inventive beverages crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Signature drinks such as the ‘Elegance Curry Tea Martini’ and ‘Tamarind Margarita’ embody a masterful fusion of local flavours and global mixology techniques. The ‘Elegance Curry Tea Martini’ blends the iconic Sri Lankan curry leaf with parmesan-infused gin, martini extra dry and house-brewed black tea kombucha. The refreshingly citrusy curry leaves provide a herbal depth that compliments the sharp gin, while the kombucha adds a tangy layer, representing Sri Lanka’s tea culture and the health benefits of fermentation. The ‘Tamarind Margarita,’ made with locally sourced tamarind, premium tequila and a chili salt rim, balances sweet, sour and spicy notes, while highlighting the digestive and cooling properties of sweet-sour tamarind. Both drinks celebrate the island’s native ingredients and is a nod to Occidental Eden’s effort to incorporate sustainable farming measures into its offerings.
